New Members:
If you are a first time member, the vice president of membership will give you a membership application form to fill out. This form along with your membership dues will be sent to Toastmasters International. The new member's fee covers the cost of your training manuals, International Toastmaster dues and club dues for a 6 month period. In 2 to 3 weeks you will receive a New Member's Kit. In the mean time continue attending club meetings and getting acquainted with your fellow Toastmaster members. Don't be afraid to ask questions. This is a positive and supportive learning environment where involvement is part of the educational process. You can also start working on your first speech, The Ice Breaker. When your manuals arrive, read the instructions on how to get started then meet with the vice president of education to help you chart your course.
